IN THE DARK
Mexico City, Mexico.
So, you know that feeling when you can't even stand a bit of light? Yeah, that was my reality for three whole days after my eye surgery. It was like living in a cave, but with Monica as my trusty cave buddy.
I decided to snap some pics during this time, capturing the weird mix of pain, boredom, and gratitude for Monica sticking around. Honestly, she was the real MVP, keeping me company and making sure I didn't go stir-crazy in the dark.
But you know what? In the midst of all that darkness, I found a kind of clarity. My other senses kicked into overdrive, and suddenly, every sound, every touch felt more intense.
As the days passed, the light started creeping back in, both literally and figuratively. My recovery became a series of snapshots—each one a little victory over the darkness.
So, join me on this rollercoaster of a journey, where even in the darkest moments, there's a glimmer of hope and a whole lot of gratitude for the ones who stick by your side.
